Four short documentary films made within a partnership between the Southeast Media Agency of Germany, the Committee for the Freedom of the Press and the public association \u201cThe Youth Generation\u201d will be broadcast on the public TV channel Moldova 1 next week. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe expect that after watching these films, the people will realize what their rights are. The people must know their rights and demand that they are respected,\u201d project coordinator Corina Boaghe said in a news conference, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.<\/p>\n
Two of the four films were launched during the Human Rights Week. Corina Boaghe said the idea of making the short films appeared after the April 7, 2009 events. The films are titled \u201cPolice and Justice\u201d, \u201cInvolvement of Civil Society in Ensuring Observance of the Human Rights and Freedoms\u201d, \u201cThe Rights of Persons with Disabilities\u201d, and \u201cThe Rights of Sexual Minorities\u201d.<\/p>\n
Young people from different settlements of Moldova have been involved in the project. Twenty young persons made by a one-minute film about their own views on the respect for the human rights.<\/p>\n
German Ambassador to Moldova Berthold Johannes said he was glad that there are young persons in Moldova who defend the human rights. \u201cIt is important that we also think about the persons with disabilities, the situation of the minorities and their problems,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The diplomat stated that the observance of the human rights means involvement of all the people. \u201cThe European Union devotes special attention to the human rights. It is a canon of the EU and we share these values,\u201d said Berthold Johannes.<\/p>\n
The Southeast Media Agency has implemented projects in Southeast Europe since 1999.<\/p>\n
