After the third round of talks in trilateral format, the representatives of the PL, PD and PLDM have said that there is some \u201chomework\u201d left, which they will have to do before meeting next time, probably on Thursday or Friday, Info-Prim Neo reports.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe discussed ways to share responsibilities in Moldova so that we can form an effective government\u201d, stated Lib-Dem leader Vlad Filat after the meeting. \u201cWe need to further work and hold consultations, including within our parties\u201d.<\/p>\n
When asked by reporters to comment on the recent accusations by PDM leader Marian Lupu that PLDM was putting pressure on the Democrats through the media and civil society leaders, Vlad Filat said that Lupu had no evidence to say this. <\/p>\n
After more than two hours of negotiations, PDM honorary president Dumitru Diacov said the three parties had a \u201cgood talk\u201d on a number of issues. \u201cI hope this dialogue will be continued\u201d. The politician refused to answer the reporters’ questions, and only announced that the talks would continue on Friday, and not on Thursday as Filat said.<\/p>\n
PL leader Mihai Ghimpu said the parties arrived to the consensus that the future coalition needed balance. \u201cIt is important that we have agreed on this balance and I see it as a success\u201d, said Mihai Ghimpu.<\/p>\n
The big absentee of today’s talks was PDM leader Marian Lupu, who is reportedly on a private visit to Germany. <\/p>\n
The previous round of tripartite talks was held on Friday, December 10. On Saturday the PL leader held bipartisan negotiations with the PDM leader.<\/p>\n
