\n\tAny food product intended for individual consumption or catering must be mandatorily accompanied by information about the name of the product, used ingredients, net quantity, use-by date and special keeping conditions. The data will be shown on packing and will be easily visible. A bill concerning the informing of consumers about food products was endorsed by the Cabinet, IPN reports.<\/p>\n
\tThe National Food Safety Agency will monitor how the food labeling conditions are met. The bill is to be adopted by Parliament.<\/p>\n
\tThe Cabinet also approved a decision to put into practice the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed at national level. This allows to immediately detect direct and indirect threats to human health caused by food or feed.<\/p>\n
\tThe Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed will be managed by the National Food Safety Agency with the participation of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the Ministry of the Interior, the Customs Service and the National Consumer Protection Agency.<\/p>\n
