The materials regarding the fire that occurred on May 16, which destroyed the attic of a residential building in the city of Durle\u0219ti, have been submitted to the relevant authorities for examination and intervention, in accordance with legal competencies. The actions taken by the authorities following the fire were discussed on Friday during a working meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea and decision-makers from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development and the National Technical Inspection Inspectorate, as reported by IPN.<\/p>\n\n
During the meeting, the results of the conducted inspections were highlighted, which revealed a series of major non-conformities at all stages of construction – starting with violations of urban planning rules during the issuance of permits and ending with improperly executed construction works.<\/p>\n\n
At the same time, the necessity of intensifying national inspections for identifying illegal constructions, particularly unauthorized attics and additional floors, was discussed.<\/p>\n\n
Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea mentioned that the fire in Durle\u0219ti highlights the consequences of tolerating unauthorized constructions. <\/p>\n\n
“We will strengthen the control capacity and take firm action wherever regulations are ignored. The safety of people must come first, above any commercial interest or abuse of procedure,” emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n
According to the experts of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the cause of the fire on Tudor Vladimirescu street in Durle\u0219ti was the failure to comply with fire safety regulations during open flame work. The flames destroyed approximately 1500 square meters of the roof and the apartments located underneath it. Sixteen people required medical care.<\/p>\n\n
Following the fire, the building was left without water and electricity. Several families had to move out. Some sought refuge with relatives, while others accepted the authorities’ offer and were temporarily housed in dormitories of educational institutions. In the first stage, the authorities provided affected families with vouchers ranging from 500 to 2000 lei for essential products. Later on, a one-time allowance of 10,000 lei was also granted, which can be collected from post offices until June 30th.<\/p>\n\n
From the Government’s Intervention Fund, the amount of 1.2 million lei was allocated for the construction of a temporary roof. In addition, 55.8 thousand lei were allocated for the technical expertise of the attic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
