Some said these would take place and would be held simultaneously with the local elections and this would politicize a lot the local elections. Others noted snap elections would not take place as a possible ruling alliance started to take shape, IPN reports.<\/p>\n
\tJournalist Oleg Cosyh said there would be no definite winners and losers if snap elections are held. The picture would be most probably almost the same as after the February 24 parliamentary elections. \u201cWe will see no radical changes on the political arena. We see the trends of the political parties, the people\u2019s preferences,\u201d he stated, adding the possible snap elections would slow down the implementation of the projects needed by the country.<\/p>\n
\tPolitical pundit Anatol \u021a\u0103ranu stated the snap elections at this stage are the least probably variant. In the current conditions, there would be a government of the left and the biggest question is how much the Democratic Party would concede as regards the European course to the Socialists to come to power. \u201cThis is the price we will all pay for the bloc ACUM\u2019s refusal to take part in governance,\u201d stated the commentator . According to him, if snap elections are held, the bloc ACUM and the Socialists would feel the most uncomfortable, while the Democrats would be the calmest.<\/p>\n
\tJournalist Ion Miskevka said the snap elections are a lottery. \u201cTo my opinion, someone plays the Russian roulette and plays with fire as the snap elections of 2001 were won by the Communists, while those of 2009 by the pro-Europeans. It is not known here who would come to power and would win the most of seats,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n
\tJournalist Constantin Olteanu stated a political party cannot claim more than it was offered by the voters. Depending on the number of won seats, the party can seek a part of the government and posts. If snap elections are held simultaneously with the local ones, the nature of the local elections would be modified. \u201cThe local elections are usually more personalized. Those from a particular mayor\u2019s office do not look at what happens elsewhere. If the elections are held concurrently, the local elections would be very politicized, the parties would be much more present in villages and the political factor would be much more wilder imposed on the citizens,\u201d said Constantin Olteanu.<\/p>\n
