The Citizenship-by-Investment Program, the scheme allowing foreigners to purchase Moldovan nationality, will be formally suspended at tomorrow\u2019s Parliament sitting. This was announced by President Igor Dodon after a meeting of the Supreme Security Council today, IPN reports.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the President, the program will be suspended until some details are clarified. \u201cWe have some questions as regards the companies involved in the program. There is a well-known international company that has been attracted into this project, but there are also some smaller companies, including Moldovan ones, with suspicious owners,\u201d Igor Dodon said.<\/p>\n

Of the total 34 applications submitted under the program, some were examined, while others are still under examination. The Commission will stop receiving applications until further notice.<\/span><\/p>\n
