The Government said in an informative note accompanying the measure that in the absence of such rates, litigants were impeded from ordering such tests in Moldova, which affected both judiciary and extra-judiciary processes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In particular, genetic tests in sexual abuse cases will cost 18,590 lei, and tests regarding paternity\/maternity will cost 5,577 lei.<\/p>\n
The measure takes effect immediately with its publishing in order to remove \u201cany further impediments.\u201d<\/p>\n
A laboratory for molecular and genetic testing, for purposes that include determining paternity\/maternity, or identifying criminal suspects or victims of crimes or disasters based on DNA material, was opened at the Forensic Medicine Center in June 2018.<\/p>\n
