The volume of gas needed to satisfy Moldova\u2019s necessities that will be transported in reverse flow regime will be increased so that this will constitute about 15 million cubic meters. Such an agreement was reached in a working meeting with operators that transport gas through the Trans-Balkan Corridor in Brussels on December 12, IPN reports.<\/p>\n
In a posting on Facebook, President Igor Dodon said that the chairman of the Administration Board of S.A \u201cMoldovagaz\u201d Vadim Ceban told him in a meeting that to implement these agreements, the operators from Bulgaria and Romania should modify the agreements on interconnection in Negru Vod\u0103 and, respectively, in Kardam.<\/p>\n
Also, an interconnection agreement between \u201cTransgaz\u201d of Romania and the Ukrainian gas transit system operator for the Isaccea 1\/Orlovka gas measuring station is being worked out.<\/p>\n
The Romanian and Ukrainian sides in the immediate period are to finalize and sign the agreement. When this is signed, Moldova will be ready to receive natural gas through the bi-directional pipeline.<\/p>\n
In parallel, gas transport and interconnection agreements with Ukraine are being drafted and are to be signed soon.<\/p>\n
In this connection, Igor Dodon said that at the start of next week he will pay a working visit to Russia to meet with Russian officials and the president of \u201cGazporm\u201d Alexei Miller. They will discuss the shipping of natural gas to Moldova, including the amendments to extend the contract for the supply of gas to Moldova for a three-year period.<\/p>\n
