The former president of the Constitutional Court Vladimir \u021aurcan will return to the post that he held until the second half of this April, Our Party leader Renato Usatyi was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show \u201cNatalia Morari\u2019s Politics\u201d on TV8 channel.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to tell you that Vladimir \u021aurcan this week will return to the post of president of the Constitutional Court. Tomorrow I will tell you the names of the Appeals Court judges who will uphold the decision. I also know the names of the judges with which the agreement was reached,\u201d stated Renato Usatyi.<\/p>\n
The politician noted there is no doubt that the former Socialist MP will return to the post of CC president and this is the wish of President Igor Dodon.<\/p>\n
Constitutional judge Vladimir \u021aurcan asked to annul the decisions by which he was removed from the post of president of the Constitutional Court and was replaced by Domnica Manole. The Chisinau City Court ordered that the case should be examined by a panel of three judges. The panel will consist of Viorica Dodon, Tatiana Avasiloaie and Alexei Pani\u0219.<\/p>\n
Ex-Socialist MP Vladimir \u021aurcan, who was nominated constitutional judge by Parliament, on August 19, 2019 was elected president of the Constitutional Court. Under a decision published on the CC\u2019s website on April 23, 2020, Vladimir \u021aurcan was dismissed from the post of CC president following a vote of no confidence. Under another decision, Domnica Manole was elected CC president for a three-year term by a majority of votes by secret ballot.<\/p>\n
