The exemption will apply irrespective of the status of the plaintiff. The provisions are contained in a draft law, passed in final reading by Parliament, IPN reports.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The legislative initiative was drafted by the Ministry of Justice in the context of the execution of a Constitutional Court ruling. The authors note that the purpose of the legislative amendments is to extend legal protection and is a financial support measure. Consequently, access to justice for victims of domestic violence will be facilitated.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the MoJ, the adoption and implementation of this draft law is aimed at removing a major financial barrier that victims face in court.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the legislation, the state fee for property actions is calculated on the basis of the value of the action, and in cases of division of property &#8211; on the basis of the value of the property claimed. At the same time, according to the Law on State Tax, the stamp duty for filing a civil lawsuit is 200 lei. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, the draft contains provisions concerning the exemption, deferment, deferment, installment and offsetting of stamp duty. Also, the National Health Insurance Company will be exempted from paying stamp duty in actions brought against persons who fail to pay compulsory health insurance premiums.
