The European Commission will offer an additional \u20ac52 million for the Republic of Moldova to advance the country\u2019s long term resilience, recovery and reforms. Two agreements will be signed for the purpose. The Government approved a draft decision to initiate negotiations on the agreements, IPN reports.<\/p>\n
The financing agreement for the EU4Reforms Program provides that \u20ac27 million in grant funding will be provided for such priority areas as policies and programs on the population and reproductive health, governance and civil society, peace and security.<\/p>\n
Among the priorities of the financing agreement for the EU4Recovery and Resilience Program are the ensuring of resilient, sustainable and inclusive economic development in Moldova, including by supporting SMEs, improvement of the business climate through trade facilitation, and improvement of employability. A sum of \u20ac27 million in grant funding will be offered for the purpose.<\/p>\n
The financing agreements are to be signed by Minister of Finance Dumitru Budianschi and Director for the EU\u2019s Eastern Neighborhood at the European Commission Lawrence Meredith.<\/p>\n
