A 16-year-old teenager lost his life in a road accident that occurred on Thursday evening, in the village of Obreja Noua, Falesti district. The boy was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by a 17-year-old young man, who did not have a driving license, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
According to the General Inspectorate of Police, preliminary investigations suggest that the teenager at the handlebars tried to overtake another vehicle at an intersection, without ensuring it was safe to do so. During the maneuver, the motorcycle collided with a car driven by a 44-year-old man, who was properly making a left turn.<\/p>\n\n
Following the impact, both the motorcyclist and the passenger were urgently transported to Falesti District Hospital. Due to the injuries sustained, the 16-year-old teenager could not be saved.<\/p>\n\n
The police have initiated a criminal process to determine all the circumstances under which the accident occurred.<\/p>\n\n
