The future cabinet of ministers will include some reshuffles, but the changes will not affect the key areas where the Republic of Moldova needs to accelerate the process of harmonizing national legislation with the community acquis. This is stated by the Vice President of the Parliament, Doina Gherman, leader of the PAS faction. According to her, the designated Prime Minister Vasile Tofan is building his own governmental team and has the freedom to decide on the composition of the executive, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
According to her, there will be adjustments in the government team, but these will be made in such a way as not to slow down the implementation of the commitments assumed in the European integration process.<\/p>\n\n
“There will be adjustments in the government team. At the same time, the appointed prime minister is well aware that we need to make rapid progress on certain aspects of the European agenda, which is why certain changes, especially in areas where we have a lot to deliver on legislative harmonization, will not help. But in principle, Vasile Tofan is open to strengthening his team”, Doina Gherman stated during the “Cabinetul din Umbr\u0103” show on JurnalTV.<\/p>\n\n
The Vice President of the Parliament emphasized that Vasile Tofan has full freedom to select his team of ministers and that the parliamentary majority will not intervene in his decisions regarding potential reshuffles.<\/p>\n\n
“The appointed Prime Minister has a clear vision. The new Government will bring a fresh breath, more optimism. He has free hands to make all the changes he desires. We cannot dictate to him regarding the reshuffles in the Government. It is the team that the appointed Prime Minister creates and he has our full support”, stated Doina Gherman.<\/p>\n\n
