The mother, one of the children and the father died, while the other child, aged seven, was hospitalized with serious injuries, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Greek press, the accident occurred on Wednesday evening on the provincial road Nea Moudania &#8211; Sithonia, near the town of Polygyros, in the Halkidiki region. The car, registered in the Republic of Moldova and driven by a 35-year-old man, collided head-on with a tanker truck driven by a 44-year-old driver. The circumstances of the accident are yet to be determined.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result of the impact, the 28-year-old woman and her six-month-old daughter died on the spot. The father was extricated by firefighters and transported in critical condition to Polygyros hospital, where he later passed away. The family&#8217;s seven-year-old daughter was admitted to the same medical unit with serious injuries. The tanker driver was not injured.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that it is in contact with the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Athens and is monitoring the situation.
