Alexandr Slusari has announced that he will resign from his position as a member of the Board of Directors of SA “Energocom”, in protest against the company’s decision to request the National Agency for Energy Regulation to increase gas tariffs. According to him, the request for an increase was submitted without the subject being discussed within the Council, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am leaving in disagreement with the request submitted by Energocom company to ANRE for increasing gas tariffs. I have been a member of the Council for three years and there has never been a situation where a strategic decision was communicated to us at the same time as the official posting on the entity’s page”, stated Alexandr Slusari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his opinion, given the volatility on international markets and the reduced gas consumption during the spring-summer period, the financial activity of the company is not affected by the current rates, and an increase is not justified at this moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IPN requested a response from the Energocom company, but had not received a reply by the time the news was published.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SA Energocom requests<\/a> an increase in the regulated price for natural gas for end consumers connected to low-pressure distribution networks, from 13.35 lei to 19.37 lei per cubic meter. A request in this regard has been submitted to the National Agency for Energy Regulation.
