The authorities will fund 9,013 budgetary places in higher education institutions for the academic year 2026-2027, with the majority being reserved for pedagogy students, in the context of a teacher shortage. The decision regarding the admission plan was approved by the acting Government, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, nearly a fifth of the total budget-funded places – 1 800 – are allocated to the field of Education Sciences. The decision comes at a time when there are 1 365 vacant positions in schools and kindergartens, including for educators and teachers of mathematics, Romanian language, physics, chemistry, foreign languages, and primary education.<\/p>\n\n
In addition to teacher training, the state will finance 1 427 places for specializations in engineering, manufacturing technologies, architecture and construction, 1 019 places for the health sector, 870 places for information and communication technologies, and 380 places for agriculture, forestry, veterinary medicine and environmental sciences.<\/p>\n\n
Out of the total state order, 5,380 places are allocated for undergraduate and integrated programs, 2,771 are intended for master’s programs, 504 for residency and clinical secondary studies, and 225 for doctorate studies. At the same time, 133 places are reserved for foreign citizens, based on international agreements concluded by the Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n\n
A novelty of the 2026 admission is the introduction of a minimum condition for master’s candidates: they will be able to compete for a state-funded place only if they have a general admission average of at least 7,00.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
