{"id":496106,"date":"2026-07-13T09:04:04","date_gmt":"2026-07-13T06:04:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipn.md\/the-mfa-condemns-the-violation-of-the-airspace-of-the-republic-of-moldova-following-the-crash-and-explosion-of-the-drone-in-copanca\/"},"modified":"2026-07-13T09:10:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-13T06:10:13","slug":"the-mfa-condemns-the-violation-of-the-airspace-of-the-republic-of-moldova-following-the-crash-and-explosion-of-the-drone-in-copanca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipn.md\/en\/the-mfa-condemns-the-violation-of-the-airspace-of-the-republic-of-moldova-following-the-crash-and-explosion-of-the-drone-in-copanca\/","title":{"rendered":"The MFA condemns the violation of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, following the crash and explosion of the drone in Copanca"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the violation of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova by a Gheran-2 type drone, which flew over the country&#8217;s territory and crashed near the locality of Copanca, Causeni district, where it exploded, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the institution, the incident represents a serious and unacceptable violation of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MFA emphasizes that this case demonstrates once again that the Russian Federation&#8217;s war of aggression against Ukraine generates direct risks for the security of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and for the stability of the entire region.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to defend the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova and announces that it will continue close collaboration with international partners to strengthen the country&#8217;s security and resilience in the face of such threats.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry of Foreign Affairs\u2019 response comes after a drone <a href=\"https:\/\/ipn.md\/en\/a-drone-exploded-near-the-village-of-copanca-ministry-of-defense-it-could-be-a-shahed-type-device\/\">crashed<\/a> and exploded overnight from Sunday to Monday near the village of Copanca, in the Causeni district. A fire broke out as a result of the incident, but no casualties were reported. The Ministry of Defense announced that, according to the Air Operations Service of the National Army, the unmanned aerial vehicle was detected at 1:03 AM in the area of the village of Copanca.
