{"id":495692,"date":"2023-08-30T14:08:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-30T11:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipn.md\/a-number-of-parties-targeted-in-illegal-funding-cases\/"},"modified":"2026-07-13T05:41:58","modified_gmt":"2026-07-13T02:41:58","slug":"a-number-of-parties-targeted-in-illegal-funding-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipn.md\/en\/a-number-of-parties-targeted-in-illegal-funding-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"A number of parties targeted in illegal funding cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"margin-bottom:11px\">At least five or six separate cases targeting \u201cindividuals in leadership positions of political parties that have knowingly accepted illegal financing from an organized criminal group\u201d are being investigated by the Anticorruption Prosecutor\u2019s Office, its chief prosecutor Veronica Dragalin told Radio Europa Liber\u0103 in an <a href=\"moldova.europalibera.org\/a\/procuratura-anticoruptie-investigheaza-mai-multe-partide-in-cateva-dosare-privind-finantarea-ilegala\/32571043.html\">interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Veronica Dragalin declined to disclose any names, citing confidentiality rules, but added that during the electoral period, several crimes may take place related to the use of funds that cannot be explained or the submission of untruthful reports to the electoral body.
