The apartment in which the fire happened was rented by a female employee of the Embassy and examinations showed that the fire was caused by a laptop left connected to the power supply. According to the apartment owner, the damage was assessed at \u20ac800,000-900,000, but no one wants to assume responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=74snWrocCC0\" target=\"_blank\">news conference<\/a> staged at IPN News Agency, Corneliu Chelnakov said that his apartment has been rented by the Embassy of Romania to base its economic section there. As a result of the fire, the apartment was 98% destroyed. The apartments of neighbors were also affected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do not really understand the Embassy\u2019s position. We weren\u2019t given a time limit and we didn\u2019t receive any response. We didn\u2019t see wish to mediate this conflict. We have to start with tomorrow and to sue the Embassy and their section for damages,\u201d stated Corneliu Chelnakov.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, two extrajudicial examinations were carried out and these lasted for 90 days. It was established that the fire was caused by a laptop that was used inappropriately. More exactly, this was left on the bed being connected to the power supply. The firefighters\u2019 examination showed the same cause. \u201cWe give them one more chance until tomorrow and hope they will react so that this conflict is settled by amicable ways,\u201d said the apartment owner.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyer Andrei Matsko said they ask the damage caused by fire in that apartment building in central Chisinau to be repaired. They got in touch with the responsible person from the Embassy, but not directly, but through the agency of the secretariat. The communication is impeded this way and after the last call was even ignored.<\/p>\n<p>According to the lawyer, the only chance for this situation to be remedied is for representatives of the Embassy of Romania, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and of dwellers to sit at a table and consider mutually advantageous solutions.<\/p>\n<p><i>Note: IPN News Agency offers the right of reply to persons who consider they were touched by the news items produced based on statements made by the organizers of the given news conference, including by facilitating the organization of another news conference in similar conditions.<\/i><\/p>\n<div id=\"related_pages_keyphrase\" style=\"display:none;\">Incendiu M.
