The Holy Fire from Jerusalem will arrive in Chisinau this evening at around 8:00PM.<\/p>\n
The delegation of the Moldovan Church will bring the Holy Fire to the Metropolitan Cathedral square, where it will be welcomed by clerics and churchgoers and from where it will be further distributed to churches across the country.<\/p>\n
The Church of Bessarabia, who sent a separate delegation to Jerusalem, will distribute the Holy Fire from St John Metropolitan Chapel.<\/p>\n
The Holy Fire, also known as the Holy Light, is considered by Orthodox Christians to be a miracle that happens every year at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem on Holy Saturday, the day before Orthodox Easter. A fire is lit above the Holy Sepulcher that is believed to descend from the sky.<\/p>\n
Each year, the Holy Light is brought to Chisinau by plane.<\/p>\n
