The European Union remains the main market for companies from the Transnistrian region. In the first half of the year, almost 77% of their exports were directed towards EU member states, the same level recorded in the similar period of the last year, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
The most important destinations for exports from the Transnistrian region are Romania, Italy, and Slovakia. On the other hand, according to the Bureau of Reintegration Policies, imports from the community space constituted 41.5% of the total volume of goods introduced into the region. Imports predominantly come from Ukraine, the EU, and China.<\/p>\n\n
The Reintegration Policy Bureau maintains that these data demonstrate that economic agents from the localities on the left bank of the Dniester and the city of Tighina maintain their commercial relations with the community market, the European Union continuing to be the main outlet for the business environment in the region.<\/p>\n\n
The institution believes that the evolution of foreign trade confirms the stable orientation of the region towards the European commercial space and contributes to the process of economic reintegration of the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, access to the EU market implies adherence to the same rules, procedures, acts and standards applicable throughout the country, which favors the economic rapprochement between the two banks of the Dniester.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
