According to parliamentary procedure, in the absence of an explicit decision by the deputies, the initiative is considered adopted and sent to the Senate, which is the decision-making body, IPN reports.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The document, initiated by parliamentarians of the S.O.S. party, stipulates that the Parliament of Romania expresses its preference for unification with the Republic of Moldova and mandates the Bucharest Government to commence negotiations with the authorities in Chisinau regarding the conditions and stages of a potential reunification process.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiators invoke the provisions of the Helsinki Final Act, which allow for the peaceful modification of borders based on the agreement between states. The project also stipulates the notification of international partners and relevant organizations, including the European Union, NATO, the UN, and the United States, in the event of the definitive adoption of the law.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tacit adoption in the Chamber of Deputies does not represent the final approval of the project.
