The decision was made after the judges found that the company&#8217;s assets were sold at auction at a price lower than their real value, and the company was not notified in time and could not intervene to defend its rights, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Strasbourg Court has established that the state did not provide proper protection of property and that the enforcement procedure was applied abusively. The national courts had previously decided that the company must pay approximately 72 thousand euros in a civil dispute, and after this decision, the forced execution was initiated.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the forced execution procedure, several assets of the company, including land and buildings, were auctioned off and sold. According to the Court, the sales took place without the company being notified in time, which made it impossible for it to intervene and protect its assets. The company presented appraisal reports from 2022, according to which the total value of the sold properties was approximately 3.4 million euros.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the Court rejected the company&#8217;s claim for nearly one billion euros in damages, on the grounds that most of the calculations regarding estimated profits cannot be proven.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the end, the ECHR decided that the Republic of Moldova must pay 560 thousand euros in damages, considering that the company was affected by the way the entire process was conducted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Court of Human Rights obliges the Republic of Moldova to pay damages of 560 thousand euros to the company &#8220;Seksimp Group SRL&#8221;.
