The United Kingdom has set a historic heat record for the month of May, with a maximum of 34.8 degrees Celsius and a record tropical night at 21.3 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists warn that the heatwave could generate temperatures of up to 36 degrees on Tuesday, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n

According to meteorologists, temperature records were broken on May 25 in 12 different locations. This value significantly exceeds the previous record of 32.8 degrees recorded in 1922 and 1944. In many areas of England and Wales, the official threshold for heatwave has already been reached, with temperatures consistently exceeding 28 degrees Celsius for several days in a row.<\/p>\n\n

The extreme heat has already caused serious incidents. In Edinburgh, emergency services were alerted Monday evening due to a vegetation fire. Firefighters worked throughout the entire night to extinguish the flames, while residents were advised to keep their windows closed due to the dense smoke.<\/p>\n\n

Meteorologists have announced that on Tuesday, highs of up to 36 degrees Celsius are forecasted in the south of England and in Wales. Although storms are expected in the afternoon, they will not bring immediate relief, with temperatures set to gradually decrease only from the middle of the week.
