The airspace in the northern part of the country was temporarily closed, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Ministry of Defense, the unmanned aircraft entered the country around 04:00 PM. Five minutes later, the drone was spotted by locals over the city of Balti, as it was heading towards the Ungheni district.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subsequently, the National Army&#8217;s surveillance systems detected the device at 04:19 PM in the town of Lapusna, Hancesti district, and at 04:23 PM near the town of Carpineni, in the same direction, towards the south of the country. The authorities have announced that they will provide additional information.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Update:<\/strong> The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the unauthorized overflight of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova. The institution qualifies the incident as a serious violation of the country&#8217;s sovereignty and territorial integrity, emphasizing that such actions pose a direct risk to the security of citizens.
