The simple motion tabled by the Bloc of Communists and Socialists against the policies of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, headed by Vladimir Bolea, failed. It was considered at today’s sitting of Parliament and after several hours of debate, it was supported by only 18 MPs.<\/p>\n\n
“Today we are not talking about a motion, but we are talking about the direction Moldova has chosen and what this Parliament really wants – to build or return to stagnation,” said Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development.<\/p>\n\n
According to the minister, in the last two years, through the national program European Village, and through foreign investments attracted by MIDR, investment projects have been carried out, the results of which can be seen in every corner of the country. <\/p>\n\n
“Today’s motion is an exercise in rhetoric, not accountability. It is a string of baseless accusations, an attempt to destabilize and not to build,” said Vladimir Bolea.<\/p>\n\n
The opposition reiterated the arguments formulated in the motion, criticizing the situation at the Moldovan Railways and the salary arrears to employees, as well as the intention to merge Marculesti Airport with Chisinau International Airport. The lack of transparency and vision for development was also cited.<\/p>\n\n
