Romania is ranked last with the highest inflation, with 5.1% inflation, Eurostat statistics show, IPN reports.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The EU countries with the lowest annual inflation rates in March were France with 0.9%, Denmark with 1.4% and Luxembourg with 1.5%, while Romania, Hungary and Poland were at the opposite pole, reports the Romanian news agency <a href=\"https:\/\/agerpres.ro\/economic-extern\/2025\/04\/16\/romania-a-redevenit-tara-cu-cea-mai-mare-inflatie-din-ue-in-martie--1441010\">Agerpres<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" src=\"https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/eurostat-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38865\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/eurostat-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/eurostat-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/eurostat-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/eurostat-585x391.jpg 585w, https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/eurostat-263x175.jpg 263w, https:\/\/ipn.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/eurostat.jpg 1028w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the euro area, annual inflation eased slightly to 2.2% in March, from 2.3% in February. The largest contribution to the annual inflation rate in the euro area came from services, food, alcohol and cigarettes.
