Moldova is interested in Greece’s experience in protecting and enhancing cultural heritage, which it considers a model to follow. The statement was made by President Maia Sandu, during the meeting with the Greek Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, who is visiting Chisinau, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
The head of state emphasized the role of culture in strengthening the resilience of societies, especially in a regional context marked by multiple challenges. According to her, culture contributes to the protection of national values and social cohesion, as stated in a press release from the Presidency.<\/p>\n\n
Maia Sandu highlighted that the Hellenic Republic remains an important partner for Moldova, both in the process of joining the European Union and in other areas of bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n\n
The Ministries of Culture from both states signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of conservation and restoration of cultural heritage on Monday, March 16.
