The message was conveyed by Governor Anca Dragu at a public lecture for students, organized on the occasion of the opening of the thematic week &#8220;Global Money Week&#8221;, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anca Dragu drew attention to the dangers of online fraud and promises of quick enrichment. &#8220;Every financial decision, no matter how small, must contribute to building a stable and prosperous future, it must contribute to our financial and decision-making autonomy&#8221;, stated the head of the BNM. She encouraged students to invest in education and professional training, as this represents the surest path to long-term financial independence. The governor also recommended caution when accessing consumer credit.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the event, the European path of Moldova was also discussed. The National Bank of Moldova (BNM) actively participates in aligning financial legislation with EU standards and in accession negotiations.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The National Bank is organizing a series of activities during the period of March 16-22 as part of the International Financial Education Week (Global Money Week), aimed at familiarizing the public with economic subjects for making responsible financial decisions. The agenda includes interactive workshops and training sessions, during which young people will learn directly from experts about the role of the central bank, monetary policy, the digitalization of the financial system and the basic rules for secure online payments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The way we use money is rapidly changing under the influence of technology, and this requires increased attention and a better understanding of financial risks.
