The court made this decision at the request of prosecutors, who claim that initial witnesses in the investigation concealed her involvement, attempting to mislead law enforcement authorities, IPN reports.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prosecutor Stefan Ciuperca stated that the accused was not officially employed at the \u201cDr. Serebrova\u201d salon, where the procedure took place, but she participated in performing it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the investigation, it was found that witnesses initially questioned either omitted or distorted essential information regarding the assistant\u2019s role in the events.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;So far, investigators have identified a coordinated attempt to construct a false version of the events. The detained individual now holds the status of an accused person and refuses to make statements,&#8221; Ciuperca said.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, three individuals are facing charges in this case. Doctor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipn.md\/ro\/a-fost-retinut-medicul-care-i-a-facut-anestezie-7967_1111685.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ecaterina Maniuc<\/a>, suspected of administering anesthesia to the victim, has been placed under house arrest, while assistant Natalia Sacaliuc is now in pre-trial detention.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the owner of the salon,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipn.md\/ro\/30-de-zile-de-arest-pentru-proprietara-salonului-in-7967_1112602.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Irina Borodkina<\/a>, is reportedly in Ukraine, according to information provided by prosecutors.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We are making all necessary efforts to complete the criminal investigation as soon as possible and to bring the case concerning the already identified individuals to court,&#8221; the prosecutor stated.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The incident\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipn.md\/ro\/sotul-femeii-decedate-la-proceduri-cosmetologice-a-iesit-cu-7967_1111595.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">occurred<\/a>\u00a0at the end of January in a beauty salon in the capital, where Liubovi Babutchi had gone for an aesthetic procedure.
