Fishing is prohibited on the Naslavcea-Dubasari sector of the Nistru River. An order to this effect was issued by the Environmental Agency, specifying that this measure is a precautionary one, aimed at preventing potential risks to the population’s health, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
According to the document, the restriction targets sport, amateur, and recreational fishing, and applies from the village of Naslavcea to the Dubasari reservoir, inclusive. The ban will be in effect until April 1.<\/p>\n\n
The enforcement of this measure will be ensured by the Environmental Protection Inspectorate. Authorities warn that non-compliance with the order incurs liability in accordance with the legislation.<\/p>\n\n
In the meantime, the Minister of Environment, Gheorghe Hajder, announced that a second absorbent dam has been installed on the Nistru River for the collection of petroleum substances. According to the official, the works were carried out in the Curesti village area of the Soroca district, with the support of partners from Romania.<\/p>\n\n
