Four individuals have been detained in the Rascani sector of the capital, after allegedly receiving a bribe of 40 thousand euros. According to the National Anticorruption Center, the money was allegedly requested to intervene in a criminal case and obtain a favorable decision. The NAC did not provide details about the individuals involved, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
According to the case materials, the suspects allegedly claimed to have influence over some public figures and promised to facilitate the release of a person initially convicted, thus avoiding criminal punishment.<\/p>\n\n
The transfer of money took place under the supervision of CNA officers. As a result of the searches conducted, the entire sum of 40 thousand euros was seized, as well as electronic devices used for the prior arrangement of committing the offense.<\/p>\n\n
