Over 150 Moldovan tourists are stranded in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Israel, Maldives, Tanzania and other countries in the region, following the escalation of the security situation in the Middle East. According to the National Association of Tourism Economic Agents of Moldova, the actual number of affected Moldovan tourists could be higher, considering that only tourists from member agencies are included, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
ANAT clarifies that travel agencies are in direct contact with the affected tourists and external partners. Tourists are encouraged to keep in touch with the travel agency or airline, to check the status of flights directly on the official websites, to follow the information published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova and to respect the recommendations of the local authorities.<\/p>\n\n
The National Association of Tourism Economic Agents of Moldova appeals to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government, in the context of establishing the crisis cell, to find quick solutions to repatriate citizens stranded abroad and bring them home safely.<\/p>\n\n
