The international train “Prietenia”, which connects Kiev with Bucharest through the Republic of Moldova, derailed on Friday morning at the North Station in the Romanian capital. The incident occurred during the pushing of the IRN 401 train set into a depot, explained the National Railway Company of Romania. The derailed wagon was quickly put back on the tracks, and the railway traffic, which had been temporarily stopped, was resumed, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n

The incident occurred around 8:20 AM and was resolved at 9:45 AM. No casualties, infrastructure damage, or safety installation issues were reported, CFR announced.<\/p>\n\n

The “Prietenia” train began<\/a> operating on October 10, 2025. It departs from Kiev at 6:30 AM and arrives at Bucharest North the next day at 6:47 AM.
