A project in this regard is proposed for public consultation by the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA), reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the institution, the measure is part of the actions outlined in the National Program for the Republic of Moldova&#8217;s accession to the European Union for the period 2025\u20132029 and transposes a European directive from December 2007, which prohibits the introduction of these products into the community market.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The aim is to remove obstacles in the way of the internal market functioning and to restore consumer confidence in the fact that the fur products they purchase do not contain cat or dog fur,&#8221; mentions ANSA.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proposals can be submitted to the institution until March 20, 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Republic of Moldova is considering banning the import and export of cat and dog fur, as well as products containing such fur.
