The energy infrastructure of Ukraine was once again targeted by attacks last night. The private electricity operator DTEK announced that the equipment of several thermal power plants was severely damaged as a result of these Russian attacks. As a result, the supply of electricity was temporarily interrupted for some consumers, while other areas are partially connected, according to established schedules, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n

According to the cited source, this is the ninth massive attack on the company’s thermal power plants since October 2025. Since the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion, the energy infrastructure has been targeted over 220 times. Specialists are currently assessing the extent of the damage and working on remedying the consequences of the bombing.<\/p>\n\n

All through last night, Russian forces launched attacks on Kiev and the regions of Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Sumy, Kherson and Zaporozhye. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the bombings hit several residential blocks, individual homes, and warehouses, causing fires to break out.<\/p>\n\n

In the Ukrainian capital, three people were injured, a five-story building was destroyed, and several power lines and private homes were damaged. In the city of Dnipro, two private houses, a residential block, and a student dormitory were affected. Also, the attacks caused fires in several districts of the Dnepropetrovsk region, causing significant material damage.<\/p>\n\n

More damage was also reported in the Vinnytsia and Odesa regions. According to Suspilne<\/a>, in the south of the Odesa region, energy and civil infrastructure was damaged by Russian attacks last night, and over 50,000 people were left without power.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
