The statement was made to IPN by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of the USA, Christopher Smith.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The American official emphasized that energy has been a major component of bilateral cooperation for many years, especially after Russia&#8217;s large-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
