(from 10.1% in 12 months of 2023 to 3.8% in 12 months of 2024). At the same time, the bank managed to maintain an adequate level of operating expenses, which increased below the inflation rate.<\/div><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><div>The bank remains in the top 4 banks, which hold a majority share of the volume of loans granted in the market, focusing on sustainable lending and efficient use of resources, both of depositors and international financial institutions.<\/div>&#13;\n<div><\/div>&#13;\n<div>In accordance with local reporting standards, the bank&#8217;s assets reached the level of 21.4 billion MDL at the end of 2024, positioning themselves at a level similar to that recorded at the end of 2023, as a result of efficient asset and liability management.<\/div><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><div>In terms of attracted deposits, OTP Bank ranks among the top 4 participants with a market share of 13.1%, the trust of customers and especially of companies in Moldova being demonstrated by holding 2nd place on the market in terms of deposits attracted from legal entities with a share of 17.4%.<\/div>&#13;\n<div><\/div>&#13;\n<div>OTP Bank Moldova recorded solid profitability, recording a return on assets of 2.5% (system average 2.4%) and a return on capital of 17.8% (system average 14.8%).<\/div><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bank&#8217;s capital adequacy ratio reached 22.7% (-2.5 percentage points compared to the end of 2023), as a result of the relaunch of lending boosted by economic growth.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OTP Bank is a strategic partner for international financial institutions in stimulating the economic development of Moldova. Thus, in 2024, OTP Bank signed the first Risk Sharing Facility &#8211; the EBRD risk-sharing guarantee that allows generating a new volume of loans of up to EUR 30 million for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Moldova.
