Chisinau, sec. Centru, str. Teatrului str-la, 2\/2.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event will address the major concerns of the Jewish community and experts about the way the history of the Holocaust is reflected in the new history textbook for grade XII, published under the aegis of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova. Following a detailed analysis of the textbook&#8217;s content, several serious historical and methodological problems were identified, including:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Distorted presentation of the Antonescu regime&#8217;s role in the Holocaust, including the use of outdated and biased sources, which attempt to minimize its responsibility in the deportation and extermination of hundreds of thousands of Jews and Roma.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Omission of key aspects of the Holocaust in Bessarabia and Transnistria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unjustifiably equating the Holocaust with other historical tragedies, which leads to relativizing the gravity and uniqueness of this genocide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inappropriate and manipulative expressions that create confusion about historical events and those responsible for them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These issues were also raised by external partners and experts in the field, who expressed concern about attempts to minimize or distort the historical truth about the Holocaust.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We believe that historical education must be faithful to the truth and reflect the conclusions of the international scientific community.
