The commune of Sipoteni in the Calarasi district has been placed under quarantine for a period of 30 days, following the confirmation of a case of rabies in a bovine. The measure was taken by the District Commission for Exceptional Situations to prevent the spread of the disease and to protect the health of people and animals in the locality, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
The Commission has approved an anti-epizootic measures plan for eradication and prevention of spread. Authorities warn that non-compliance with the established measures will constitute a breach of the law and will result in sanctions. Residents are encouraged to follow the specialists’ recommendations and report any suspicions regarding the health status of the animals.<\/p>\n\n
