Three non-bank lending organizations were fined by the National Financial Market Commission for not complying, within the set deadline, with previously imposed prescriptions. These were aimed at reimbursing consumers for unjustifiably collected payments based on credit contracts, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
The non-banking lending organization “Cash&Go” received the largest fine – 82,500 lei. “U Capital” was penalized with 60,000 lei, while “Credit Auto” with 7,500 lei. According to the CNPF, the value of the fines was determined based on the number and severity of unfulfilled decisions.<\/p>\n\n
Most of the unexecuted decisions required the three organizations to only request from consumers the repayment of the initial loan amount and to reimburse all additional payments collected – interest, commissions, fees, penalties – with the exception of the initial amount.<\/p>\n\n
