A batch of eggs has been withdrawn from the market, announces the National Agency for Food Safety. During inspections carried out by inspectors and laboratory analyses, authorities detected metronidazole – a prohibited toxic substance, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
According to ANSA, the chicken eggs, withdrawn from trade, are produced by Raiplai-Avicola and bear the marking 3 MD BR 004. The durability date varies between January 10 and January 27.<\/p>\n\n
The substance detected is prohibited in veterinary use and is not allowed in food products. It was identified in samples of feed, serum and eggs, taken from the poultry farm of the company.<\/p>\n\n
Consumers who have purchased eggs from the respective batch are urged not to consume them. The eggs can be returned to the commercial unit from which they were bought. Their equivalent value is to be refunded, in accordance with legal norms.<\/p>\n\n
