Prosecutors have sent to court the case of a young man from the Transnistrian region, accused of murdering a woman, committed in February of this year, in an apartment in Chisinau. According to the General Prosecutor’s Office, the man allegedly raped the victim, then strangled her, and in order to mislead the investigation, he inflicted cuts on her hands, to create the impression of a suicide, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
The victim provided sexual services for payment, and the accused was her client. He does not admit guilt for the alleged offenses.<\/p>\n\n
The young man left the country’s territory, being located and extradited from a European Union state. Investigators established that he attempted to erase the traces of the crime from the apartment, using alcohol and pharmaceutical disinfectant solutions to clean the surfaces. He also left the water running.<\/p>\n\n
If found guilty, the man faces a prison sentence of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
