The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office specifies that the appeal concerned the sentence pronounced on March 19, 2025<\/a> by the Chisinau Court, Buiucani headquarters, by which Alexandr Nesterovschi was sentenced to 12 years in prison and ordered to pay over 1.1 million lei.<\/p>\n\n

The decision of the Court of Appeal is final and enforceable from the moment of pronouncement, but it can be challenged with an appeal to the Supreme Court of Justice within two months.<\/p>\n\n

The former deputy was found guilty of passive corruption on an exceptionally large scale, in the interest of an organized criminal group, as well as illegal financing of political parties. At the pronouncement of the basic sentence, Nesterovschi did not appear in court and was subsequently put on the wanted list.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
