Over 130 thousand eggs have been withdrawn from the market and destroyed, after the presence of veterinary drug residues was detected in them. It’s about the antibiotic salinomycin, from the group of coccidiostats, identified in products originating from the business operator SRL “Adalva”, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
The National Agency for Food Safety explained that the economic operator LLC “Adalva” has revised the production processes and excluded the antibiotic from the premixes used in bird feed. The measures were applied in accordance with the prescriptions issued by the control authority.<\/p>\n\n
According to ANSA, “the products were processed as by-products not intended for human consumption, at a biogas unit, to eliminate any risk to public health”.<\/p>\n\n
