Zinaida Popa, the chairwoman of the Action and Solidarity Party faction in the Chisinau Municipal Council, declares that her family has nothing to hide and wants the ANI checks to be carried out to the end, with maximum rigor. The statement was made on social networks following the announcement of the National Integrity Authority regarding the initiation of wealth and personal interests control of Vasile Popa, former director of the State Protection and Guard Service, Zinaida Popa’s husband, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n

“We are open to providing all necessary information and fully cooperating with state institutions. This is what I have always maintained: regardless of political color or who is in power, the law must be the same for everyone,” said Zinaida Popa. The head of the municipal PAS faction emphasized that she has always promoted the idea that institutions must do their duty without pressure, without selectivity, and without double standards, and that the truth is not afraid of checks.”<\/p>\n\n

Previously, ANI announced that Vasile Popa<\/a> will be subjected to a review for a possible violation of the legal regime of declaring wealth and personal interests. The complaint submitted mentions that, during the period 2020-2024, Vasile Popa and his wife may have made several significant real estate purchases that may not match their declared income.<\/p>\n\n
