The number of acute respiratory infection cases increased by 4% last week. The National Agency for Public Health reported 2,185 illnesses nationwide, most of them among children, IPN reports.<\/p>\n\n
Out of 31 cases of seasonal flu recorded last week, the majority were in the capital. COVID-19 was confirmed in 18 people, of which 12 are children up to 14 years old.<\/p>\n\n
From the beginning of the monitoring period carried out by ANSP, between September 29 and December 7, 71 cases of influenza, 213 cases of COVID-19 and over 17 thousand cases of respiratory infections have been confirmed.<\/p>\n\n
Virologists recommend vaccination against the flu and SARS-CoV-2 and mention that both serums can be administered concurrently. Immunity forms in two to three weeks, and post-vaccination protection is maintained for up to a year.
