Claims for compensation through the “Meter Aid” program are subject to checks in 11 databases and information systems, in a process designed to confirm the accuracy of the information and to ensure a fair mechanism for establishing payments for eligible consumers. The process is explained by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection through an informative video<\/a>, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n

After the registration of the application, the declared data is compared with information received from the State Fiscal Service regarding income – salaries, dividends, interest, income from independent activities or peasant households.<\/p>\n\n

For the 2025-2026 season, in addition to dividend income which should not exceed 300,000 lei, a cap has also been introduced for interest from bank deposits, which cannot be higher than 4,000 lei.<\/p>\n\n

The continuous validation with the verification of social benefits by the National House of Social Insurance, the confirmation of the energy consumption history from suppliers, the existence and value of mortgage loans through banking institutions, the period of stay in the territory of the Republic of Moldova by the Border Police, and the identification of household members by the Public Services Agency.<\/p>\n\n

Also, the status of persons with disabilities, unemployed or students is confirmed by competent institutions, and the cadastral service verifies the real estate owned, maintaining a limit of maximum 2 million lei.<\/p>\n\n

The Ministry specifies that each application is carefully analyzed, and the result is an individually and transparently calculated compensation for all eligible households. The application period for the compensations related to November ended on November 28.
