“The European Union is investing 20 million euros this year in the air defense of the Republic of Moldova, to support the strengthening of the country’s security. The sky of the Republic of Moldova cannot become a victim of Russia’s war,” Kallas wrote in a post on the X network.<\/p>\n\n
Two drones, identified by Ukrainian authorities as being of the “Gherbera” type, illegally flew over the territory of Moldova on Friday evening, November 28, leading to the closure of the national airspace for an hour and ten minutes. Two aircraft in the process of landing at Chisinau International Airport were diverted, and another aircraft, prepared for takeoff, was kept on the ground until the danger had passed. The competent authorities announced on Saturday that no objects, debris, or elements posing a danger to the population were identified.<\/p>\n\n
