Merchants in Romania who refuse to replace products when the buyer detects a non-conformity will be fined with amounts ranging from 5,000 to 25,000 Romanian lei, which is up to approximately 97,000 Moldovan lei, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
The law was promulgated by the President of Romania and will apply to both physically purchased products and those bought online.<\/p>\n\n
“This amendment ensures the correct application of the rights provided by law and strengthens consumer protection,” stated President Nicusor Dan.<\/p>\n\n
